Anyone who liked last year's sandbox slasher, Prototype will probably be intrigued by the following cryptic viral video that has turned up on the pleasantly named murderyourmaker.com.
The short video contains some spliced together footage of Prototype's gameplay and the message 'Murder your maker', presumably referring to the generic evil government scientist types that changed protagonist Alex Mercer into a scary superman and everyone else into weird zombie hive monsters.
A far less cryptic statement on the website mentions the Spike TV Video Game Awards, so presumably Prototype 2 will be getting a proper announcement at the show.
I found Prototype to be good looking but extremely repetitive and personally didn't really rate it compared to 2009's other big open world action games, Red Faction: Guerrilla and Infamous but it sold well so I guess a sequel was inevitable.
